As Art became friends with more local filmmakers, screenwriters, and professionals in the field, he ran across this book by a local author that told the little known story of a company town in Orange County, CA that existed for 50 years providing homes and shopping for the workers at a local brick manufacturer. Art produced a documentary called The Brick People with a team that included the author, his daughter, and his son Mike. Along the way they interviewed dozens of the Mexican American immigrants who live in the Company Town of Simons (near Montebello)and their descendants.
